The primary outcome of the intervention was to ‘strengthen the emergency preparedness and response systems for managing COVID-19 pandemic through locally-led actions in APP countries’. The project focused on three intermediate outcomes

• Strengthened NEOCs and/ PHEOCs at national/ sub-national levels
• Enhanced Community Engagement and Response through Risk Communication and Awareness on COVID-19.
• Enhanced south-south learning and knowledge exchange for COVID-19 preparedness and response.

PRP Steering Committees decided to adopt the Intermediate Outcome 2 and 3 being most relevant to the country context for COVID-19 response.
