National Steering Committee

The members of National Steering Committee are as follows:

Mr Idrees Mahsud

Member DRR-NDMA

Mr Idrees Mahsud brings over 15 years of leadership experience across Pakistan's administrative, diplomatic, and humanitarian sectors. A distinguished member of the Civil Service, he has held key roles in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Law, and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Holding a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Melbourne, his extensive expertise and international experience provide critical strategic direction to the Promoting Resilient Preparedness (PRP) initiative.

Mr Malik Sohail

Chairman Coordination FPCCI

Malik Sohail Hussain has vast experience under his belt. He is the serving Secretary General U.S. Pakistan International Chamber of Commerce (USPICC) and now Secretary General Pakistan Western Canada Trade Association, Pakistan Chapter He is the Steering committee member of PRP since its inception in Pakistan in Feb-2018.

Mr Hameedullah Kakar

NHN Chairperson

Mr. Hameed Ullah Kakar serves as the National Chairperson of the National Humanitarian Network (NHN) and the Executive Director of Youth Organization. With extensive experience in program design, strategic partnerships, and social activism, he has led impactful initiatives addressing education, poverty, and gender equality. He is associated with PRP since January-2024.

Mr Shafei Hali

National Defence University

Dr. Shafei Moiz Hali is Associate Professor and Head of Public Policy at NDU, Pakistan. He has contributed to civil services reform and serves as the university’s academic expert on disaster management. He is also part of the national curriculum committees for Government & Public Policy and Public Administration, shaping academic standards nationwide. He is associated with PRP since Sep-2021.

Audit Finance & HR Committee

The purpose of the Audit, Finance & HR committee of PRP is to provide the:

  • Monitors financial reporting, internal controls, external audit relations, and compliance.
  • Reviews the organization’s budget and long-term financial planning to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Oversees matters, including compensation, organizational structure, and involvement in the hiring of Key positions of the organization.

Resource Mobilization Committee

The purpose of the Resource Mobilization Committee is to provide the:

  • Focuses on securing financial and non-financial assets for the organization.
  • Leads all donor cultivation, grant proposal writing, and high-level advocacy efforts necessary to secure essential financial resources and contributions.
  • Monitors progress against fundraising goals, advises the Board on mobilization risks, and ensures ethical, compliant management of donor relationships.
